When trying to "make all" or just "make":

...
/usr/bin/perl /home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/buildscripts/out/help2man
out/mup2ly > out/mup2ly.1 cat midi2ly.py | sed -e '#' -e
'address@hidden@!/bin/sh!g' -e 'address@hidden@!02OCT03!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/com!g' -e 'address@hidden@!/usr/bin/guile!g'
-e 'address@hidden@!/usr/local/bin!g' -e 'address@hidden@!02OCT03!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/share!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/share/lilypond!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/lib/lilypond!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/share/lilypond/2.1.0!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/lib/lilypond/2.1.0!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/local/share/locale!g' -e 'address@hidden@!LILYPOND!g'
-e 'address@hidden@!lilypond!g' -e 'address@hidden@!:!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/bin/perl!g' -e 'address@hidden@!/usr/local!g' -e
'address@hidden@!!g' -e 'address@hidden@!!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/usr/bin/python!g' -e 'address@hidden@!/bin/sh!g' -e
'address@hidden@!2.1.0!g' -e
'address@hidden@!/home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/stepmake/bin!g' >
out/midi2ly chmod 755 out/midi2ly
/usr/bin/perl /home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/buildscripts/out/help2man
out/midi2ly > out/midi2ly.1 true
true
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/scripts'
make: *** elisp: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [all] Error 2

I get a similar error message even when trying to make clean:

...
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/python'
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/scripts'
rm -f ./out/*
true
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/gperciva/dev/lilypond/scripts'
make: *** elisp: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [clean] Error 2
address@hidden:~/dev/lilypond$

Debian/testing recently got a whole bunch of updated packages (around
140 on my machine); I noticed that gcc and other devel packages were
amongst the updated packages.
