Or do it in the official way e.g. on the command line:
cvs status ChangeLog
N.B.: Please note that sometimes people apply small changes without
changing ChangeLog each time, such that not each small change results in a
new ChangeLog number, i.e. the ChangeLog number in general does *not*
uniquely identify a configuration. This is because cvs is a file oriented
versioning tool rather than a configuration tool (such as e.g. subversion,
see http://subversion.tigris.org/).
