Done. I installed yum and it did the trick. The problem I was having
with figuring out what I needed was directly related to the naming
conventions in Fedora differing from what the RPM files were begging
for. Example; XFree86-devel was being demanded by pango-devel. When I
fired up yum to install the pango-devel package it found that xorg-x11-
devel was necessary *not* XFree86. That is obviously the advantage of
yum over plain vanilla RPM.
Latest CVS compiling as I type.
