VoiceGroup won't help with merging multiple outputs into one context.
We'd need something like
\context Voice = "unisilence" = "silenceone" { ... }
for that, and that looks like a real ugly bag of worms. I think that it
would make more sense to give \partcombine the capability not to use
hardwired names only, and to behave sensibly where several names are
identical.
