I've added tetex-devel. Thanks for your suggestion.
This makes me wonder, though, how do you normally find a package in
Mandrake; and why didn't *that* method work for you, in this case?
In Debian, you would do:
$ apt-cache search kpathsea
catdvi - DVI to plain text translator
libkpathsea-dev - kpathsea.a and include files for teTeX
libkpathsea3 - shared libkpathsea for teTeX
tetex-bin - teTeX binary files
vflib3 - Versatile Font Library
vflib3-bin - Sample programs using VFlib3
vflib3-dev - Development files for VFlib3
vflib3-doc - Documentation for VFlib3
