I'm puzzled what you mean by 'length'.
The length (in seconds) of a MIDI track depends on the tempo of the
piece and its time signature. 10 measures of 4 quarter notes at q=120
should be exactly 20 seconds. So when you say "same length" do you mean
they are both equally long in seconds? And what do you expect by
synchronizing with a files of different lengths?
