No problem at all, the net is as it is!But I definitely must declaire that I cannot find something like a clear "thread" and I cannot find the "core" of the question. But the thread is building yet. Obviously the other people trying to help are to be groping in the dark as well.
One of the returns following my post is referrencing to "followed the steps at http://www.lilypond.org/macos-x.html"Another one is telling that one wishes to use Abjad, sorry I only know Abjad as an Arabic Alphabet Learning System.
In one of the confusing assemble of postings is I tried chmod u+x .... I do not know that option u. Chek chmode --help Usually in this cases one might use chmode a+x ... to make executable all files .Be shure, that is tha last "noise" I will add to this thread - if it is any!!!!!!

We'd be glad to help if you can show us what you did exactly. Open a terminal, start from step 1 and when you get stuck copy&paste all the text in the terminal and send it here. ¹http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32772287/error-installing-lilypond-with-chmod_______________________________________________ lilypond-user mailing list address@hidden https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user_______________________________________________ lilypond-user mailing list address@hidden https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
