hi all,
i have been trying to cross compile linphone for arm platform.
the tool chain i am using is : arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2 from handhelds.org
my host platform is an x86 pc (pentium 4)
with red hat 9 running on it.
i downloaded the following : glib-2.4.5
: libosip-0.9.7
: linphone-0.12.2
and followed the steps as detailed in the readme.arm ..
when i down load the binaries (linphonec , sipomatic ) to the arm platform
and try to execute it says : cannot execute binary .
NOW here's my question !!!!!
if I configure using : ./configure --prefix=/armbuild/usr --host=arm-linux
--with-gnu-ld --enable-static=yes --enable-shared=no
type of binary linphonec is as follows ...
linphonec: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, version 1 (ARM), for GNU/Linux 2.0.0,
dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
as u can see it still creates a dynamically linked thing ....
how to get a static version ??? ( have been thinking 'bout this 4 long !!)
and it's LSB executable ..and arm i suppose needs big endian or MSB executable
///
plz correct me if i am wrong ....
waiting 4 inspiring replys ...
ravi.
