If you have edge optimization enabled, and the phone detects that it is on an
EDGE cellular network (aka not LTE, not 3G) it disables video on the call
parameters, sets your upstream bandwidth to the linphonerc variable “edge_bw”
(default 20) and sets your ptime to the linphonerc variable “edge_ptime”
(default 100). The bandwidth value is used to set the audio bitrate, and the
ptime is used to compensate for increased latency.
