Are you referring to multicast as in conference ?

-->> I am referring to multicast as in sharing a audio/video/text from one machine to a selected few machines which are in the same network which is configured by a mutlicast group IP addrress. For example, 10 machines are connected to the same multicast group IP and machine 4 wants to send a prerecorded audio file or make a voice call with machines 1, 2, 3, 6, 8 in the network or may be even with all remaining machines.

-->> I am using Linux UBUNTU 16.04. And right now I am trying to compile the Linphone SDK on the same but facing compilation issues when I tried with the CMAKE compilation steps that are given in the linphone support pages. Highly appreciate if you could share the compilation steps for Ubuntu !!

-What do you mean by streaming (screen sharing, which framerate, sound...) ?

-->> By streaming, I mean broadcasting or multicasting a prerecorded or a live audio/video file. The file format support can be mp3/mp4 for example.

Currently you can create audio conferences in Linphone. We are developing video conference and this should be available early next year.
