I have partly solved this question, by changing values and recompiling
after each one, and posted it here

It's a pity this list is practically dead. It gets a lot of google
hits, but almost nobody replies.
I wonder if there is a document anywhere describing in a readable
manner LWIP design. Well nobody is going to reply to that question,
too :)
