Is what you are doing highlighting a block of text in nano using the
mouse and a left click then pasting it somewhere else in nano with a
right click?
If so, that won't work because you copying what is displayed on the
terminal and as the tabs are expanded to spaces that's what you get.
Why aren't you using nano's text marking and cut/paste capabilities?
