Follow-up Comment #18, bug #62468 (project octave):

yeah, I don't think we need to worry too much about optimizing performance
further here, since like many other things speed has always been worse on this
side, and it's not like quadv was much faster.  I just thought it worth
checking that it wasn't an obvious problem with an algorithm choice in these
changes.

from here, it looks like the function passes all of the quadv and integral
arrayvalued tests I'd expect. 

Other than the docstring, can anyone think of anything else it should do
before rolling it back over to quadgk and updating integral accordingly?
