I am using windows 11 which may be the issue so please disregard if this isn't
happening to anyone else. I have had windows crash trying to move files
before.

I went to close a file in Octave(GUI) and it prompted if I wanted to save the
file as it was changed before I closed said file. I hit cancel as I forgot
what change I made without saving. I remembered shortly after hitting cancel
and tried to save the file. Octave froze and I had to force close it. When I
reopened the file it was blank (luckily I had a backup of the file).

Windows 11 is far from stable so it could easily be the OS.
