File Makefile should be removed in the distclean target of file
src/Makefile.in. The patch attached to this bug report fixes the problem.
Notice that, in the patch, the distclean and maintainer-clean rules have been
simplified, by adding pre-requisites clean and distclean to them,
respectively.
