Follow-up Comment #5, bug #63181 (project octave):
Can you also check whether the change in behavior also applies to the true,
Inf, NaN, ones, and zeros functions and whether they behave in a consistent
way with regard to specifying dimensions?
>From my reading of the Matlab docs, false([]) appears to be undocumented.
