Follow-up Comment #32:

We have been receiving reports like this one for a while now. The underlying
issue probably needs more investigation.
While it would be nice to find out what causes these corrupt settings files
and find a way to avoid that corruption, I don't think we should block Octave
7.3 on this now.

Moving release target to "dev".
