You can skip the package install part but opening the bashshell in windows
from the installer and untaring the package, going to the src directory and
running ./configure and then make.


Thank you, John, I tried you figure out what I have to do.

I know there is the WSL on Windows 10 with which it is possible to install
things like MinGW. Do you mean using MinGW?

Assuming I have to install the MinGW. This means navigating to the folder
where I untar the parallel package, going to the source subdirectory and
running ./configure and make. Like simply typing this to the MinGW prompt, or
is there more syntax necessary?

Sorry to ask such things but I never used that.
