Follow-up Comment #7, bug #57106 (project octave):

Octave LSP server sounds like a cool idea!

There is a Matlab LSP server in Github:
https://github.com/mathworks/MATLAB-language-server

Unfortunately, in order to work, it needs an existing Matlab installation to
be running.

But maybe this could be used as a template project? (MIT license.)
