Follow-up Comment #13, bug#64977 (group octave): I'm not sure what other version number should be used. Unless you are actively working on the bytecode interpreter, I don't think you need to worry about merging changes there. It seems to me that it is the responsibility of the people working on the feature branch to keep it up to date with default. There is no specific frequency for merging either stable to default or default to a feature branch.
