Follow-up Comment #3, bug#65010 (group octave):

You're grepping skills are probably adequate, but the default is hard to find.
 See libinterp/corefcn/graphics.cc:140.  There is a coding note to read there,
but we can't just call the Octave interpreter to get the viridis colormap, so
the values are hardcoded.
