Follow-up Comment #30, bug#65312 (group octave):
It looks like the change from comment #16 was pushed to the default branch as
part of the following change:
https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/489026b7257b
Was that intentional? If it was, we should probably "graft" that part of the
change to the stable branch.
