Follow-up Comment #56, bug #65431 (group octave):

@Anonymous, I will give u a long response. 

(1) I view software documentation as if it is a contract between the
developers and users. 
(2) For the patch function, regardless matlab or octave, the patch function
permissible inputs include all the possible combinations in  this report.
(3) If there are conflicting input configurations, they should be rejected for
that purpose, not the mismatch array dimensions due to software internal. 
(4) Earlier matlab adapters tend to be very sophisticated. Massive amount of
knowledge went into that software.  It is best that we can, without going
through the pains, extract the best out of it by closely following it.  So it
bothers me somehow that I need to make changes for things that work.  
(5) Lastly I don't understand what the fix would do.  So I just want the
exiting data to run.   If the fix does not address the existing conflicts but
just preventing it reaching the conflicts for the known paths.  I am sure that
crash will continue with a different format.  
(6) Yes.  I can move the cdata.  But, as today, I am crashing, maybe, and
cause software to freeze with FaceVertexCData too.
