Follow-up Comment #20, bug #65030 (group octave):

After a look into the documentation I would say that there is no change in
functionality. The only hint I found in the internet so far is that
restoreState() might not fully restore the header's state if called from the
constructor, i.e., when the header might not be fully ready, see
https://www.qtcentre.org/threads/26675-QTableView-saving-restoring-columns-widths
. Maybe this only shows up for us in Qt 6.6.x for some timing reasons.

I have attached a patch with the provided solution although I am not very
optimistic that this really is the solution.
