I can also confirm on Windows.

That is probably due to the following regular expression in QTerminal.cc
(QTerminal::handleCustomContextMenuRequested):

       QRegularExpression expr {".*\b*(\\w+)\b*.*"};
        QRegularExpressionMatch match = expr.match (selected_text);


Tbh, I don't know what the original intension was for that expression
(especially the backspace characters).
