Yes. For my purposes, it's close enough.

My understanding is it is helpful when downloading a large number of headers. 
Through trial and error, I found that 8 connections seems to be the sweet spot 
for my connection and system. No slow down in speed and through put appears to 
be improved over 4 connections. Changing the size of the cache made no 
noticable difference as far as I could tell.
