You're not missing anything Jim.  I thought this feature was eventually
to be added back in, but apparently not.  I guess the primary interest
of most PAN users is downloading binary files.

It was wonderful to be able to go back to the PAN folders and reread
the saved messages or threads organized just as they appeared in the
original newsgroup listings.
