That seems a better alternative for my application, and saves some work.
It is easily available too, so I think I will use the R6107SP instead.

I plan to modify the R617FS to collect the 5 channel sum signal from it.

we use the R6107SP that has a sum output, the R6007SP gives sum also but with a shorter range.
