Hi David,

while I don't have an ARDrone and hence haven't tested this, the failsafe settings should be the same as for other rotorcrafts (at least for ardrone_raw).

Hi,

The wiki page on the AR Drone 2 failsafe is pretty empty at the
moment, it only says:

"This part of the Project is for later work. For now the failsafe
values are setting all the PWM signals to the motors to 0, so it at
least won't fly away."

When the AR Drone loses the link to the groundstation, this results in
RC loss (as it is sent over the datalink). I know you can configure
the autopilot to remain in or switch to AUTO mode using the following:

<define name="RC_LOST_MODE" value="PPRZ_MODE_AUTO2"/>

But the above message on the AR Drone wiki page makes me a bit
nervous. Does anybody know if this also works for the AR Drone, or
does the RC-over-datalink result in the RC failsafe overriding all
other failsafe settings?

Kind regards,
 David
