Hi,
I'll be glad to apply as a translator/doc writer, also I'm going to dev some
code to make a localization of the invoice system.
First of all I think that some function linked to invoicing should be in
the
API.
For an example the invoice number, at the moment all the apps generate the
invoice id from a app internal table.
This way there could be two invoices with the some number, I don't in the
other countries, but in Italy this is very very bad (outlaw).
So ther wil be (at least) one table with (at least) one field to be used as
counter, and an API function that returns the next invoice number
(hopefully
in a user format).
Ther also should be a central place, not only inside a specified app, where
the user could brovse all the invoices she/he has made with phpGW.
More over, for the Italian laws, there must be indicated on the invoice the
VAT number of the customer and of who sells (services or products). For
this
I'll add some extra fileds to the addressbook and I'll make the Italian
template for billing (full_format_it.tpl, format_it.tpl,
line_format_it.tpl).
Two thing that are required on the invoice (not from the law, but from the
seller) are the way the seller want be payed (bank
account, cash, money transfer, etc) and the invoice deadline (the last date
it could be payed). These data sholud be added to the invoice form.
I don't know if all the things I've said could be useful in every country
or
only i Italy.
In the second case I'll think I should make an Italian Patch for
Addressbook, Inv, Projects. Please let me know if there is some other app
invoice-connected.
I've already started, I hope someone, maybe the mantainers, should help me
someway :)
Cheers
Alessandro
P.S.: next step: deliveries.
P.P.S.: gugux said to me to ask for a write access for the wiki, it's
possible...or I'm too young? ;)
