I'm afraid that I have to politely decline the nomination (but thank you very 
much).

I'm a phpgw user who wanted to do some code hacks to add a few features and it 
has
gotten wildly out of control

Some of the features that I wanted to add have led to me pushing for rather 
major
changes like the new contacts backend (note: I'm not claiming it was done 
because of
me, but I was one voice in the crowd).

To accomplish my original goal of adding some features to timetrack, I have had 
to
research how to use some of the core api functions.  When I found something I 
needed
wasn't provided, I tried to make it (or better, get someone else to make it).  
If
someone else was making it, I tried to lend a hand where possible to get it 
done.

I'm not interested in spending time in the politics of the decision making of 
what
goes into phpgw.  Frankly, I don't think I'm qualified.

I prefer to act more as an observer or advisor.  I think those who know me 
realize I
will not remain quiet if I see a potential improvement to the feature set of the
project (what I don't know is how best to implement it) but I don't wish to
"officially" determine the direction of the project.

If certain of my views on potential enhancements are not valuable (as in wise
improvements), then just ignore me, eventually I'll stop going on about it.
