Well.... the stuff probiz is working on will accomplish a standard way
for generic add/delete/update of records, either through the api or
through xml-rpc ... This is not just for remote syncing, it can change
(fur the MUCH better) the way we script phpgw applications.
Look into it.... this is really the way to go.... and we are going.
