[Phpgroupware-developers] session class and sitemgr

a recent change to the API class sessions_php4 (fix to bug #7134)
seems to break sitemgr. When the public web site is invoked by the
anonymous user, I get 

Warning: session_start(): The session id contains invalid characters,
valid characters are only a-z, A-Z and 0-9 in
/var/www/html/phpgw_16/phpgwapi/inc/class.sessions_php4.inc.php on
line 47

Unfortunately, I am not sufficiently familiar with phpgw's session
handling to debug this.
