Hi, folks, Thought you may be interested.Recently, I have been trying to install CK-ERP within a Fedora Core 3 environment. Two problems emerge. Both of the problems are due to SELinux being activated by default. The following lists the problems and the solutions,
a) phpGroupWare is unable to connect to MySQL via unix socket. The solution is to specify the db host machine to be 127.0.0.1 or localhost.localdomain so as to force tcpip connection. This problem is detailed in http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/long_list.cgi?buglist=138421
b) The webserver, apache, is unable to write to the filesystem. The simpliest solution is to disable SELinux protection for httpd daemon. Further detail is available from http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/printthread.php?t=25907
With these problems solved, everything goes back to normal. Using PostgreSQL as the DB engine seems to exhibit the same behavior and the same solutions apply.
Cheers, CK
