Follow-up Comment #1, sr #104067 (project phpgroupware):
We won't be making this change. There are several reasons for this.
We only support the use of 1 abstraction library, for 16 it is a modded
version of phpLib for 18+ it will be ADOdb with a wrapper.
PEAR DB is released under the PHP License and so is not GPL compatiable, and
I have little interest in making major changes to suport non GPL compatiable
code.
We use a modified versioon of phpLib's DB abstraction library, they had the
namespace first
I would never make a change like this in stable, even if the first 3 problems
didn't exist.
I suggest you use the supported abstraction libraries for your app.
