Here are the test results on various platforms, for various CPUs.
All running on real CPUs of that type (no qemu involved).
Unless indicated otherwise, I built and installed gmp 6.2.0 first.
Result:
All MPFR tests pass, with only minor hassles.

Linux (Ubuntu 16.04) All OK
Mac OS X 10.5 All OK
I had to use gmp 5.0.2 instead,
because gmp 6.2.0 comes with a libtool
that does not work here.
FreeBSD 12.0 All OK
NetBSD 9.0 All OK
OpenBSD 6.5 All OK
Solaris 11.4 All OK
Solaris 10 All OK, after working around a cc bug [1]
