[Savannah-hackers-public] Licensing question: gpl 2 or 3 (but no later)

Hello,

A recent project submission uses the following license:
"[...] you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of either version 2 
or version 3 of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software 
Foundation.."

This is based on a 3rd-party product licensed similarly, here:
   http://source.wiredtiger.com/license.html

I assume this is valid "Free Software", but is it acceptable for hosting on GNU 
Savannah?
(since it's clearly not compatible with hypothetical future GPLv4 or later...)
