there appears to be a problem with playing audio data with different
sample rates. Basically, it seems that the first sample rate sticks
for the lifetime of the output module. the problem can be seen when
using the espeak output module. The speech data is at 22050 kHz, the
sound icons usually at 16000 kHz. If the first audio data that is
played after restarting speech-dispatcher is a sound icon, the icon will be
played
correctly, but all subsequent speech is slow and at a low pitch, thus
it seems that the 22050 kHz speech data is played at 1600 kHz. On the
other hand, it the first audio data that is played is speech, the
speech will sound correct, but subsequent audio icons will be too fast and
the pitch will be too high.
