Hi Hermann, the last released speechd-el version doesn't work with
BRLTTY 3.8 and newer. I should prepare new speechd-el release. In the
meantime you can use development version of speechd-el from CVS which
works with all the recent BRLTTY versions (i.e. 3.7 and above). See
http://www.freebsoft.org/speechd-el#anchor0 for instructions how to get
it.
