Hello,
Here I'm on Ubuntu hardy so with libasound2 1.0.17 and I have also
frequently crashes, in fact crashes happened every 1 or 2 minutes. I use
espeak module. I tried with espeak-generic module but with this module
the speech driver included in brltty doesn't read every lines when I use
the up and down arrows to read text.
I don't know exactly where is the problem : in speech-dispatcher, in
espeak module, in espeak, in brltty-s speech driver ?
One thing I noticed : When crashes happens there is often an uppercase
caracter in the last words which are spoken just before the crash. What
do you think about that ? Perhaps espeak problem ?
Do you notice the same ?
I must upgrade to intrepid at work but since this crash still persist I
prefer not to upgrade because I must restart speech-dispatcher very very
often.
Perhaps it will be an idea to test with another version of espeak but I
don't know how to tell to speech-dispatcher not to use ubuntu espeak
package but to use espeak from tar.gz.
