Hi William,
if you run
make clean
make install-exec
you'll get
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `../../src/common/libcommon.la',
needed by `speech-dispatcher'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/$HOME/speechd/src/server'
make[1]: *** [install-exec-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/$HOME/speechd/src'
make: *** [install-exec-recursive] Error 1
this is because libcommon.la is not built and hence speech-dispatcher
binary as well.
at least this is an error I got.
