Afaik not. In my opinion this should be handled in your screenreader not
speech-dispatcher.
BTW.: I can't confirm such Problems neither in sbl or orca.
Which screenreader are you using?
The only bug in that Area I am aware is that in some java applications
orca cannot stop speech.
