Hello,
Currently, when the generic module is used the voice can only be
selected setting both the language and the symbolic voice name.
The attached patch allows to actually set the chosen voice, for instance
typing "spd-say -y <voice>" or using the Voices->Person drop down list
of Orca Preferences.

PS Maybe this patch also allows to have several voices of the same
language sharing the same symbolic voice name. I will test that.
