When starting emacs in Mate-terminal brltty just says "Pas d'écran"
(no screen).
OTOH brltty works with an actual device on the console (tested by
Philippe Delavalade).
Anyway I wonder why a Braille user would need speechd-el. Isn't using
emacs on the console good enough in this case?
