I agree with this in principle.
As an additional consideration, you should have attended the talk by
OSI at FOSDEM or watched it.

I choose to say "free software" where practically possible.
Nonetheless, I recognize that "open source" is also about freedoms,
even if the term (by design) isn't.
I do find it amusing that part of the objection to phrase "open
source" being confusing can also apply to the phrase "free software".
