Maybe. I don't know whether it matters in court whether there are a small
or a large number of other contributors, other than the one who is sueing.

Do we agree that:
1.) all relevant info (for us) is already in the commit messages
2.) the tags in the source files primarily serve legal purposes (and not
kudos)
If so:
Let's autogenerate the tags by a script which relies on "git blame" or
"git annotate".
Parameters for the selection of authors to be displayed can than
be tuned by those which like to perform "legal thinking" in their free time.
I don't want to participate in discussion what amount of lines makes an
author relevant.
Yet i see value in such tings to be handled consistently across codebase.
