And that's interesting, too. There have been reports that process
communication from/to HP-UX has problems for larger chunks of bytes.

Could you, please, set tramp-chunksize to 500 (or less) and rerun the
test with a fresh started Emacs? tramp-copy-size-limit shall be reset
to the default.
