Nope. You make an ssh connection to address@hidden; so you must
put your public key in ~ubuntu/.ssh/authorized_keys.

Btw, the settings might be safer when you eval

  'tramp-default-proxies-alist
  '("remotedomain.com" "root" "/ssh:address@hidden:"))
