Hi Michael,

I'm not able to find that variable (tramp-methods). I'm using the default tramp with emacs 23.2
INSIDE_EMACS=23.2.1,tramp:2.1.18-23.2

Should I be using latest tramp version to be able to add new tramp method.

Thanks,

Swarup

#000000 Hi,
Hi,

I didn't find a default method which supports 'ksu'. Basically the
process is very similar to sudo but instead of using sudo need ksu
after ssh login
Shouldn't it be rather "su" but "sudo"?

Is there a way I can achieve that.
Check variable `tramp-methods'. There is a "su" entry, which you might
duplicate, replacing "su" by "ksu". After you have restarted Emacs, ksu
shall work for you.

I believe it is a good idea to support ksu (we do it already with
krlogin). I'll add it to Tramp next days.

Thanks,

Swarup
Thanks for reporting, and best regards, Michael.
