I don't quite understand why the program would depend on all the
variables. If one of them was missing, say, PO_FILE, it would just
delete the SSIs for the other 3. Of course, a delete command would have
to be added for each new variable. But this notice is complicated enough
the way it is. Another variable (meaning another sentence) would make it
useless because nobody would ever read it.
